We have found some 40 great blessings (and these are just a few) that are guaranteed by the word of God, among them we found that we are now "new creatures, God's handiwork", our old man is dead, God has given to us all that we need to live and be Godly, as we live.
Christ lives in us and we live in him, we are free from the law of sin and death, we are more than conquerors through Christ, we will never come under condemnation, we can never be separated from the love of God, we have an eternal home in heaven, and on and on. Think about this……normally, when a person joins some church, he begins his "Christian" journey, having been taught that he cannot live the way the Bible says that a Christian should live. That is the reason that there are so many shipwrecks along the road to heaven.
People do not really believe that salvation makes that great of a difference; and dear brothers and sisters, if you don't believe you can, you probably won't. We forget that God does not save people and leave them beside the road to fend for him or herself. No!
God places his divine nature (the holy spirit) in the saved person and God then works in them to cause them to want to obey and to be able to obey. (Philippians 2:13). The true Christian can and will walk a radically different path; and he does it by the power given him "in Christ" (Philippians 4:13).
